About us

DentaBlue didn't begin in a laboratory. It began on a hospital ward.

Our founder spent years working in the NHS, supporting people living with dementia and their families. Time and time again, she saw the same heartbreaking challenge. Something as simple as brushing your teeth could become frightening, confusing or distressing. For many people, oral care was no longer just a daily routine – it had become a source of anxiety.

Yet despite how common this experience was, there were very few practical alternatives.

That simple observation became a question:

What if oral comfort could be easier, kinder and designed around the person instead of the routine?

That question became DentaBlue.

From the very beginning, we knew we didn't want to create a product for people living with dementia. We wanted to create it with them.

As part of the Alzheimer's Society Launchpad programme, we embraced co-production as the foundation of everything we do. Since then, people living with dementia, family carers, healthcare professionals and older adults have helped shape DentaBlue at every stage of its development.

Nothing has been designed behind closed doors.

They've influenced our packaging, ensuring it's easier to recognise and open. They've guided our flavour choices and told us what feels familiar and comforting. They've helped us perfect the soft jelly-like texture, the colour, the size and even how long it should take to chew.

Every piece of feedback—whether positive or challenging—has helped us create something better.

Because innovation isn't about assuming you know the answer. It's about listening.

Today, DentaBlue is more than an oral comfort gummy. It's the result of hundreds of conversations, shared experiences and honest feedback from the very people it exists to support.

We're proud to be building something that puts dignity first.

Simple enough to use. Thoughtfully designed. Shaped by lived experience.

Because everyone deserves everyday oral comfort—with their dignity intact.
